Jason Siska of Survivor: Micronesia may not be the smartest player in this sixteenth installment of the reality show, but he sure made a name for himself as perhaps the one ultimately responsible for the fans’ downfall this season. Jason obviously did not learn from similar mistakes made in the past when he failed to play his Hidden Immunity Idol and gets voted off in the process. The same thing happened with Ozzy Lusth, originally from Survivor: Cook Islands, who was eliminated very recently, too.
Jason thus became the thirteenth castaway to be eliminated from Survivor: Micronesia. And it is not as simple as that, too, since his elimination titled the balance in favor the favorites this season. In an interview, Jason revealed that he thought it was strictly a fan versus favorite contest.
“If … James [Clement, a favorite] had gone home,” he said, “it would have been Erik, Natalie, Alexis, and myself. Four fans who I believe should stick together throughout the whole game. We could have taken out Cirie, Amanda, and Parvati, the three girls, and the fans could have been in the final four …. It didn't work out that way.”
On the other hand, Jason appeared to be one of those players who opt to play a classy game, instead of the typical ruthless and manipulative way most castaways prefer. If you prefer this way of playing, however, more often than not getting blindsided is a possibility he had to contend with.
Yet after all the backstabbing and name-calling that Survivor fans are all too familiar with, Jason said his Survivor experience was everything he hoped it would be and more. He said every challenge was a blast and if he had a chance to do it again, he would do it in a heartbeat.
