ndia's first revolutionary film by Vijay Pereira of Arc Films on the life and trauma of male sex workers exploited by men in metrops, sardonically called It's A Man's World, saw an interesting shoot and ensuing celebration at the sets at Kamalistan Studios, Mumbai recently.
Starring. supermodel turned actor Mohsin Akhtar, Mikhill, Ranjit, Ankit and Shakti in the lead roles with Mauli Ganguly and Smita Bansal as the two women in the man's world, the Saurabh Sengupta-directed venture saw the picturisation of a very interesting song sequence. The music of the film incidentally is also by Saurabh Sengupta.
Says Vijay Pereira, the man behid Arc Films, ''when Saurabh came to us with the concept, we fell in love with the subject. If the thought was bold, the treatment was stylish, urbane and yet so humane. It explored the sensitive emotional side of the characters. There is not a single sex scene in the film. That was the best part about it. The director made the audiences think, cry and travel with his subjects without graphically portraying their lives.''
